WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Experience of diagnosing and treating cancers at various sites at all stages for 28 years including cancer-screening programmes.
• Was involved in treating around 700 patients per year in the dept of Radiation Oncology at Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research Centre (MMHRC) Madurai a 500-bedded super and multi speciality hospital engaged in research and teaching programmes.
• Cancer of the uterine cervix and head and neck cancers constitute around 70% of the total cancers. Breast cancers constitute to around 12-15% (encl. pie chart)
• I have special experience in treating children suffering from retinoblstoma referred from Aravind Eye Hospitals a post graduate Institute Madurai for more than a decade, apart from other orbital malignancies.
• Expertise in high precision radiation therapy with 3D CRT, IMRT, and IGRT at Apollo Specialty Hospitals Madurai handling cancers of various sites
• Participation in Tumour Board comprising of Radiation, Surgical, Medical Oncologists and Onco Pathologists in the hospital as well as in the national tumour board of Apollo group of hospitals across the country via video conference
• At present working with HCG Enterprises Chennai, practicing IMRT, IGRT, True beam ( FFF), Tomotherapy and Cyber knife and HDR Brachytherapy
• High dose rate Brachytherapy procedures for various sites

• True Beam from Varian Medical Systems practicing IMRT, IGRT, Triple F (FFF), SBRT at HCG Cancer Center Enterprises Chennai as well as Cyber Knife at HCG Bangalore
• Low dose rate Brachytherapy with BARC applicators using cesium137
• Remote after loading computerized LDR & HDR Brachytherapy (selectron and micro selectron.) with exposure in Head & Neck, cervix, esophagus, breast Brachytherapy Mould Room Techniques and Handling, Chemotherapy,biological therapy and immunotherapy.
